it's been a while, like a long while, since my last "favorites" post. sorry bout that!
work got really intense. and then my photography picked up.
but i've had some free time lately (explanation to follow) so i wanted to share a new favorite.
jonas peterson
i literally felt something in the pit of my stomach viewing this wedding
and is this portrait even real?
so much creativity my head could explode!
and the dude gets to travel the world. and awesome clients. and keeps it real.

the apartment | design
i take little credit for the design; it's all lea and her mad design skills. but she got me and what i like:
- white
- clean surfaces
- minimal clutter
- low budget
working within the unit i picked out
- tall, exposed concrete ceilings
- light floors, cabinets, and countertops
- floor to ceiling windows and LOTS OF NATURAL LIGHT
:D
p.s. listen to this while browsing!
i keep piles of books and journals (yes, i have more than 1) on the floor by my bed, lamp from target and crystal from lollia perfume, also very obsessed with perfume (particularly chanel)
all white bedding from ikea and 1 old timey lacey pillow sham
table from a friend, eventually want to recover the chairs, 3 around the table pushed up against the window and one by the bookcase against the wall (will pull out table and add extra chair if having a dinner)
greens! my recent favorite find from my last trip to NYC, and photo of snowy atlanta taken by a friend
eiffel tower salt&pepper shakers, souvenir lion's head from the national cathedral in d.c., books from wherever
more books, baskets from ikea on the bottom shelves hiding the DVDs and clutter
spider plant from a friend, photo of chicago from a friend, nice fan to keep the room cool, and a furry accessory
table from mom and geometric print rug

the o. family | 2010
how i came to photograph this family is not the norm. after 6 years of sitting at a desk, i noticed some parts of my body were, well, a little less tone than i'd like. my sister got a personal trainer before her wedding and had been telling me to get one for a while now. i agreed to look into to, but my sister knew i would put it off. so she sent me a phone number and said "call her."
who is "her"?
meet amber, owner of cafe physique, an all-around healthy living company here in atlanta. this company has it all. personal training? check. yoga? check. dietary counseling? check.
so i signed up for 25 sessions. during our conversation, we got to talking and i mentioned i took photographs. well, one thing led to another and we met up a week or so later at a park to photograph amber and her family.
enjoy!
